Stock markets update: Equity benchmark indices opened higher in early trade on Friday amid positive global cues. In the early trade, the 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 492.71 points to 72,213.89. Meanwhile, the Nifty also surged by 141.95 points to 21,789.15.
