It was full length ball from Siraj in the 70th over, and Rehan was late on bringing the bat down, and just when he did manage to do so, the ball went through the toe end of the bat before eventually chipping the off stump’s bail. Siraj, however, was unaware that he had cleaned Rehan up and appealed to the onfield umpire, who signalled out.

Just a couple of overs later, in the 72nd, Siraj would produce another peach of a yorker to clean up James Anderson and wrap up England’s first innings for 319.

At the time of writing this report, India were 79/1, leading by 205 runs in the second innings. The five-match series is level at 1-1.
